No – Before you can set up a payment method, you must have received a tip. Once you receive a tip, you can then select and set up your preferred payment method.
We can only automatically send payments to one chosen payment method.
It is possible to change payment method, however you must contact us directly in order to facilitate the change.
We recommend that tour guides pay due taxes in their respective tax jurisdictions, we do not keep individual records of due taxes per user.
No – We only ask you to setup your payment method the first time you receive a tip, every subsequent tip will be paid directly to you with your chosen payment method.
TipDirect offers immediate remittance, as soon as you claim your first tip and set up a payment method, all future tips will be transferred to you automatically and instantly.
TipDirect charges a 5.9% transaction fee plus payment processing, which is paid by the customer tipping you. Meaning in the majority of cases guides receive 100% of the tip amount. For more information on fees, see our fees page.
