Get your first tip

We only ask for your tip payout details after you have received your first tip. So go ahead and start getting those first tips and as soon as you get them we will send an email requesting your payout details.

Choose Payout Method

Open your email and follow the instructions to securely set up your payout method. Choose from Visa, Mastercard, Revolut, Paypal and Venmo. You only need to do this once and all future tips will be paid out to this payout method.

View Your Tips

Log in to your TipDirect profile online or via the App to view all your received tips. Keep track of your earnings, see a history of all the tips you’ve received, and manage your account settings. Making sure you are always on top of your tip earnings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I setup my payment method before I get my first tip?

No – Before you can set up a payment method, you must have received a tip. Once you receive a tip, you can then select and set up your preferred payment method.

Can I use more than one payment method?

We can only automatically send payments to one chosen payment method.

After I have my payment method setup, can I change it?

It is possible to change payment method, however you must contact us directly in order to facilitate the change.

Do I have to pay taxes on my tips?

We recommend that tour guides pay due taxes in their respective tax jurisdictions, we do not keep individual records of due taxes per user.

Do I need to claim my tip every time I recieve one?

No – We only ask you to setup your payment method the first time you receive a tip, every subsequent tip will be paid directly to you with your chosen payment method.

How long does it take for my tip to be transferred to my account?

TipDirect offers immediate remittance, as soon as you claim your first tip and set up a payment method, all future tips will be transferred to you automatically and instantly.

What is the transaction fee?

If you are on the free plan, TipDirect charges a 5.9% transaction fee + a 2.9% transfer fee paid by the customer tipping you. Guides receive 100% of their tip amount.

How can I get started with TipDirect?

If you are a guide for a company, you should have received a invite link to join your companies profile from the account admin.
